The city of Petersburg, VA, asked me to come and tell Peter Francisco's story on April 16th and sign some books afterwards. I was fortunate to be able to take my family along on the trip. We stayed at the High Street Inn, a quaint Victorian Bed & Breakfast located in Old Towne Petersburg, VA.
I performed my dramatic impersonation of Peter Francisco at an old church in Petersburg and afterwards I had the chance to chat with some of the attendees and sign a few copies of Hercules of the Revolution.
I took the family to St. John's Church where I had filmed just a week earlier for my documentary about Peter Francisco.
My wife Michelle wanted me to recreate the story of Peter peering in the window to hear Patrick Henry's oratory, including the famous line "Give me liberty or give me death!"
We paid for a tour of the church and church grounds, which is well worth it. The inside of the church is beautiful!
We were able to visit some family and see some of the sights in and around Richmond. We chilled outside the Capitol building. The weather was gorgeous!

We headed over to the Virginia State Capitol and took some photos in front of Peter Francisco's portrait painting that hangs next to the Speaker of the House's door. What do you think? Notice a resemblance?
